I’m a proud Progressive, business owner, philanthropist, economist. I have degrees in Architecture, Political Science, and an MA in International Economics (Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Washington, DC.
A native and lifelong resident of Washington, DC, I also have a home in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I own a hotel. I am married to Luis Tello, a Mexican citizen. I hope and believe that one day, the government that I pay taxes to and pledge allegiance to, will recognize my marriage, and allow Luis to live with me in Washington (US immigration policy is based on family unification, except when the family is a same-sex couple).
I enjoy travel and speak Spanish fluently.
